Wyoming

While many may picture vast arid plains and large cattle ranches when they think of Wyoming, there are several mountain ranges in the state which provide some exciting skiing opportunities. Most of the mountain ranges are part of the Rocky Mountains and so they share the same steep features that other parts of the Rockies present. But Wyoming doesn’t just have pretty mountains and steep skiing slopes, it also has legendary stories and wonderfully descriptive names. As you make your way around the state from resort to resort, you will find descriptive names such as Big Horn Mountains and Snake River. Wyoming may have one of the lowest population densities in the US, but what it lacks in people it definitely makes up for in breathtaking, rugged landscapes.
